The perfect solution for someone who always has chapped hands! Beeswax based balm protects the skin from the elements and stops trans-epidermal water loss, sealing that moisture in. The rice bran oil is the classic anti-ageing ingredient due to its cell renewing properties and the organic olive oil gently softens the skin keeping it supple.

The lemongrass essential oil is a natural insect repellent making this balm just perfect for gardeners, those that like to play with horses, dog walkers and in fact anyone who likes the outdoors!

What’s the the difference between a intensive hand balm and a hand cream? Well in a nutshell, a balm is excellent at protecting the skin from the elements and is amazing at smoothing rough patches of skin whereas a cream offers superb hydration. A hand balm should ideally be part of your daily hand care routine alongside a good hand cream to keep those fingers in tip top condition. After all, for most of us, our hands get a battering on a daily basis.

With all that in mind, Claire, the mind behind Hive Originals, has developed her own unique blend of their very own beeswax, rice bran oil and olive oil to make a hand balm that protects but is not greasy like many balms. The organic vegetable oils nourish the skin. There are NO mineral oils in these balms unlike many other brands.

How to apply? Scoop a tiny amount out of the tin and simply let the waxy balm gently melt on your skin. Massage into your hands, paying particular to the backs of your hands and those rough chapped patches.
